Jandek- The finest twice yearly event on the musical calendar

How to even comment? Danny La Rue- sorry- I mean Jandek is back, and he's doing this album called Diamonds Falling Down- hopefully it will spawn another 'Sweet Caroline' or 'Brown Eyed Girl' and take our hero back to the top of the charts.

Not only that- our favourite publicity junky is actually playing in America- see details here. Personally I'm expecting blanket media coverage between now and the end of autumn.

Jandek a Muslim? Intriguing cover photo.

No word on Jandek live at the CCA DVD? And three dates in US! What's going on in the world of Sterling Smith? I'm actually a bit disappointed he's doing those concerts, the mystique and shroud of secrecy is slowly disappearing.

Fascinating DVD - Jandek on Corwood - which asks as many questions as it answers. One that still puzzles me is why Glasgow. After a career spanning several decades, Jandek chooses to do his first and third ever gigs in Glasgow. Does he have some family/romantic/other attachment to the city? Why now? Why come out of his self-imposed reclusive state and start gigging?

The mystery continues.

I am intrigued by this guy. I think he is Scottish, the Texas story is a cover. Just look at the ginger hair on some of his album covers over the last year or so (7 already since 2004!) I would be interested in seeing him live if he surfaces again. Should be a laugh.
